Another fanless linux box

The “Minikin” is a fanless machine loaded with Xubuntu Linux, a pared down version of Ubuntu. It uses the Via Eden-N processor, which is smaller than a penny and can draw alternate wattage depending on clock speed.

Since the chip is an x86 and runs at 800 mHZ (or lower, if you’re saving wattage), I’d guess this is quite a bit faster than the beloved slug. It may draw a little more wattage, but not much (figure 7 watts for the processor at full-tilt, 1.5 for a drive, another 3 or 4 for the motherboard and peripherals, assuming no wifi?), so it’s definitely a contender for the silent, tiny pc.
